French bikepacking couple: Julien and Marie-Liesse

Through our various media (podcast, website, Instagram account, blog), we share our bikepacking adventure. Beyond the sporting aspect, we want above all to convey our vision of cycling: a means of exploring, surpassing oneself and feeling free. By sharing our experiences, we hope to awaken in you the desire to escape and show you that adventure is within everyone's reach. Every photo, every story, every moment we capture bears witness to our passion: the pleasure of riding together, the discovery of new horizons and the simplicity of bicycle travel. More than a sport, for us cycling is a way of life, a way of connecting with nature and with others. We invite you to explore this site as a roadmap, a source of inspiration for all those who dream of escape. Whether you're a passionate cyclist or simply curious about beautiful adventures, welcome to ours, that of a French couple on a bikepacking trip.

We're Marie-Liesse and Julien, a French couple bikepacking from Canada to Patagonia.

Julien

Julien is the duo's sporting guarantor! Before our bikepacking adventure, he took on some of the best ultra-distance challenges in France, Morocco and Switzerland. After brilliantly co-founding and co-directing Blackballoon, a design agency for 10 years in Paris, he reinvented himself as artistic director of our own project. Creative and talented, it's to him that we owe this site, our graphic charter and most of the photos. He motivates us with a snap of his fingers to explore the continent's most beautiful landscapes. And if you don't believe us, we'll let you check it out for yourself on his Strava!

Marie-Liesse

Marie-Liesse is a 27-year-old cyclist. She owes her longest real outing prior to this adventure to the Rookies and to Julien, who signed her up for the Montventoustes when she didn't yet have a bike. A few years later, with a trip to Patagonia well underway, she's giving her heart (and body) to the success of this project. As a passionate wedding photographer (see her insta), and as the designer, editor and podcaster of our project, she tries to convey in a few words the hundreds of emotions that run through us every day.
