Julien bought the adventure bike of his dreams to ride across America. Designed and built around the Rohloff hub, the Prospector quickly became his ideal partner. When we left France, it was certainly the sponsors we hadn't expected! And yet, after 8 months of adventure and exchanges with Dan (the founder), we received a brand new bike for Marie-Liesse and new racks to fine-tune our setup.
This brand has a strange resonance with our own route. Our first ultra finish was in Nice (Mandelieu-la-Napoule) for the Race Across France. Marie-Liesse as a spectator, Julien as a runner. This is precisely where the first Café du Cycliste store is located. And it doesn't stop there: our first outing of more than 50 km together took place in Bédoin, during the Rookies' Mont Ventoustes event. In another twist of fate, Café du Cycliste opened its second store there. Given these signs, we decided to partner with this fine French brand. An obvious choice for this bikepacking trip on the American continent.
